About Us

The Farmacy was founded by Erin Doran, a serial entrepreneur who also owns and operates The Century, Nine3One, and Rosé Bouquet.

In the summer of 2018, Erin found out she had several food allergies which prompted her to seek new ways of eating; a healthier way of eating. She quickly found out how difficult it was to find fast, easy, healthy meals that met her needs; a whole-food, plant-based diet. To further expand her knowledge of the benefits of eating a plant-based diet, she enrolled in the T. Colin Campbell, Center for Nutrition Studies, Plant-Based Nutrition Program at Cornell University. The passion was ignited! Erin wanted to adopt this new way of eating and share it with the local community. Erin’s mother, Janelle has been a tremendous help with Erin’s journey of plant-based eating. She experiments with new recipes for Erin to eat and has also grown a passion for whole-food, plant-based eating. Janelle has also participated in the creation of The Farmacy.

The menu offerings bring Erin back to her roots growing up. As a child, Erin would only want soup and salad for every meal. What a strange request for a child, right? Here she is, decades later, offering her favorite go-to meal for the community of Modesto, California.

The Farmacy is a simple concept; a whole-food, plant-based, good-for-you café. We take fresh ingredients, prepare them, and then serve them in a bowl. Not only does our menu include amazing salad bowls, but it also includes unique hot and cold soups, chia puddings, and so much more! All menu items are free of preservatives! Every recipe is made from whole foods.

The Farmacy also has a healthy line of refreshing beverages which includes cold-pressed juices, smoothies, botanical lemonades, and seasonal surprises. No sodas here! If it’s not good for you, we won’t sell it to you!

We dare you to eat healthy every day! We make it easy and affordable for you to achieve optimal health through food.

“Eating with a purpose.” ~Erin
